| Whatever You Most Need (First Leaf Encounter Drawing) |
This Time Don’t Fail Me (Second Leaf Encounter Drawing) |
Leaf Encounters Project by Michael Wong For the Leaf Encounters Project, a series of small drawings will be secretly inserted into selected books in libraries and bookseller shops. What is shown are the books, in their locations, with the drawing that will be placed. No name or explanation about the origin of the drawing is included. The impetus for this project came from reading Georg Lukacs and Guy Debord. The idea of the project is to create a situation. Objecthood or authorship are not intended to be the focus of the situation, nor is the gift (though that aspect is a happy corollary). Rather, what is hoped for is an unexpected/irreproducible moment of encounter.
